420 Grade Stainless Spring Steel Strip is a martensitic stainless steel containing 12.0-14.0% Cr (Chromium). According to EN standards, it is referred to as 1.4021 or X20Cr13. It is also commonly known in the market as SAE/AISI 420. The high chromium content forms a chromium oxide layer on the surface, giving the material its stainless property. With high hardness values ( 45-51 HRc), 420 Grade Stainless Steel offers moderate resistance to corrosion and wear.
