301 Grade Stainless Spring Steel Strip is an austenitic stainless steel with a microstructure containing 16-19% Cr (Chromium) and 6-9.5% Ni (Nickel). According to EN standards, 301 Grade stainless spring steel is referred to as 1.4310 or X10CrNi18-8. Additionally, it is also known in the market under different names such as AISI 301, SUS301, SS301, and X12CrNi17-7.

Due to its chromium content of over 12%, 301 material forms a chromium oxide layer on its surface, providing it with stainless properties. This steel is known for its high resistance to corrosion and wear.
